3 Things Every Personal Brand Entrepreneur Must Do Daily

It’s never been easier to build a powerful personal brand business. The downside to that fact, however, is that everyone and their dog is giving it a shot!

It’s as if the world has gone ‘coach’ crazy and ‘mentor’ mad!

The good news is that those that don’t have the experience and the personality – compared to those that do – won’t be around for very long. People can see through the BS more so today than ever before.

However, because of the ‘noise’ that’s out there, you’ve got to be dedicated in your craft to serve those you care about, and you’ve got to do it on a very consistent basis. With that in mind, here are three things that personal brand entrepreneurs (or Youpreneurs, as I refer to us all!) should be doing on a daily… yes, I said daily, basis.

Remain Top of Mind

In this day and age, with everyone flipping through their social media feeds like a toddler turning out a DVD shelving unit, we have got to remain top of mind for those that are following us.

That means posting to our favourite social media platforms on a daily basis. But, not just for the sake of it… to add value. It might seem a little far-fetched, to have to post daily, but it’s not.

To do this effectively, you’ll need to plan out your week in advance. An easy way to get started with this is to pick themes for each day of the week. For example, you might following something along the following lines:

Monday – Personal image, sharing a fun, personal story.
Tuesday – Quick video clip, talking about your focuses for the week ahead.
Wednesday – A quote image featuring either yourself, or someone you admire.
Thursday – Behind the scenes photo, showing what you’re working on.
Friday – An end of week video, capping off the work you’ve done and the interactions you’ve enjoyed with your fans online.

See how there’s two video clips in there?

Get active with video more, my friends. It’s the way that virtually everything is going to go, when it comes to connecting in the P2P (People 2 People) manner that I preach. Busting down barriers and borders faster than anything in the process.

Note also that I don’t include weekends on that schedule. Just because they’re not there, doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t, or don’t need to post – it just means that it’ll be more ad-hoc, and as a result, a surprise to your followers… people like surprises, right?!

Be Seen to Sell

I talk about this all the time. If you want to build trust, rapport and influence in those that follow your work, like your style and appreciate your expertise, you have got to be seen to sell to them something on a regular basis.

And ‘selling’ doesn’t mean that you’ve got to be constantly pitching your products and services. ’Selling’ also means selling people on your ideas, your motivations and the value that you can bring into their lives, so that they continue to follow you.

Of course, building out a strong Youpreneur Eco-System, with multiple product and service offerings, such as online products, coaching, memberships, live events and the like is a good thing if you want to build a profitable, future-proof business, but your ‘daily selling’ doesn’t have to revolve around all that.

Get comfortable talking about you, your experience, the value you provide your clients, the things you’re up to, and if it helps get ballsy as heck… telling people that they’re making a good choice by following you, reaffirming why they need to stay tuned in.

Doing this will rarely have a negative effect on your business, I assure you.

Learn Something New

As leaders in our industries, if we’re not learning, we’re losing. Not necessarily in business, but in our ability to continue to serve and inspire those that aspire to be like us.

And that’s what we’re doing here, as Youpreneurs, above and beyond everything else! We’re painting a picture for those around us, of a life that can be lived in the fullest and most rewarding ways possible… based on their dreams and aspirations.

If we show our followers, fans, subscribers, customers, etc., what’s possible with a strong vision, a solid work ethic and the ability to take action and commit to bringing good to those that come into contact with us, we can’t lose.

The late, great Zig Ziglar said “You can have anything you life you want, just as long as you help others get what they want”. It’s true.

I hope this short collection of daily ideas has fired you up into thinking more about what you’re doing, who you’re doing it for, and how you can do more of it… all to have more impact and to affect more positive change.

Plus… if you do just that, you’ll no doubt make more money in the process, too. Which is never a bad thing, is it?!
